Who said only tuners can work on updating sports cars? Take BS Teile Center, for example. Its origins are rooted in selling used Mercedes-Benz parts, but this didn’t stop it from creating the perfect AMG GT R. And, it did this just by using original parts from model variants with superior features and drive systems.

The base Mercedes-AMG GT R is powered by a twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 577 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. While this is 74 horsepower and 35 pound-feet of torque more than the AMG GT S, is still way less than the GT R really deserves. And, this is where BS Teile Center steps in.

The tuner decided that an update with the original components wouldn’t have been worthwhile. Instead, the original turbochargers were replaced by Weistec Engineering W.4 ones, while the exhaust system received Wagner air coolers and IPE downpipes with 200-cell sport catalytic converters. The tuning job couldn’t have been finished without a proper software update, and when all is said and done, the output went up to an astonishing 903 horsepower - a way more appropriate number for the supercar.

The last upgrade to the powertrain end was a reinforced clutch for the AMG SPEEDSHIFT seven-speed transmission - required of course by the more powerful engine.

Since the GT R now delivers almost 330 horsepower more than the base model, an exterior update was also necessary. So, BS Teile Center opted for a look inspired by the GT R Pro.

As a result, many of the GT R elements were replaced by the ones taken from the GT R Pro. Up front, there will be a new front bumper, with new braced carbon-fiber blade attachments and carbon-fiber flaps, new fender flares with integrated louvers, new side skirts with carbon-fiber inserts, and for the rear, a new carbon fiber wing with Gurney flap, and a new rear bumper bar with a striking carbon-fiber diffuser. Both the headlights and the taillights were also replaced.

The car will ride on a new set of AMG Performance forged rims, also taken from the GT R Pro. They measure 10x19" up front and 12x20" in the rear and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires sized 285/30R19 and 335/25R20. The wheels are finished in a titanium gray matte paint and a star design.

The entire body is wrapped in a glistening Sunflower Matt Metallic foil with gray contrasting stripes.
