BRAZIL: Officine Mario Dorin has signed a distribution deal with Embraco which will see the Italian firm’s semi-hermetic refrigeration compressors being made available in Brazil.

Hermetic compressor manufacturer Embraco will begin distributing Dorin’s semi-hermetic  compressors in Brazil in the first quarter of next year.

Embraco is to create a dedicated technical sales team providing technical assistance to customers across the country. In addition, the company will establish distribution centres of Dorin  compressors, spare parts and components to meet all customer needs.

“We are pleased to enter into partnership with an Italian global leader in the market of refrigeration and air conditioning,” said Erivan Piazera, Embraco’s director of new business opportunities. “Dorin has nearly 100 years of experience and this agreement is a great opportunity to bring the excellence of both companies in the refrigeration market,” he added.

“The recognition of Embraco as a leading manufacturer of hermetic compressors in the  world and its structure in Brazil was essential to close the distribution agreement,” said Giovanni  Dorin, Dorin’s director of marketing and new business opportunities. “We are confident of the success of this partnership to follow up on our mission to provide the best products and the most  complete solutions for the Brazilian market.”

Established in 1918 by Mario Dorin, Officine Mario Dorin has been producing compressors since  1932. Still a family business, the company is now headed by the founder’s grandson and namesake, who along with his cousins and sons directs the company’s operations from its hq in Fiesole (Florence). With sales of more than 60,000 reciprocating compressors annually, Dorin is present in more than 90 countries with exports accounting for 70% of its production.
